Batman: Arkham City versus Battlefield 3 at the PlayStation 3 Charts, who came out on top?
Rocksteady have developed one the contenders for the ‘Game of the Year’ award with their second instalment in the Batman series, Batman: Arkham City, yet Electronic Arts are looking to throw their weight around as well with their first-person shooter, Battlefield
3.
The question now is which game came out on top on the PlayStation 3 chart?
10. Deus Ex: Human Revolution: It may have fallen off the PC charts, yet the game’s last bits of augmented energy is helping it hold on to a top ten place in the PlayStation 3 charts, yet one can feel it is only a matter of time before that
gives way.
9. Driver: San Francisco: Running out of gas in the tank, Ubisoft’s first foray into the Driver universe on the current generation of consoles has done well, yet it seems its time in the top ten is also nearing an end.
8. Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One: the first PlayStation exclusive in the chart tells the story of Ratchet and Clank as they get about their usual adventures. At the same time, the story for its publisher’s Sony, is not too bad as the game
is selling in decent enough numbers.
7. F1 2011: Codemasters delivered a game which not only captured the true essence of what Formula One is all about. It topped the charts on its debut, yet now it seems pole position is well and truly out of the game’s reach.
6. Gran Turismo 5: Halloween may be known for many things and bringing the dead back to life is certainly one of them, something that the resurgent sales figures of Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 5 are a testament to.
5. Rage: first-person shooters in the post apocalyptic setting may be slightly overused, yet Bethesda’s Rage managed to bring something fresh to the genre’s barren wastelands. How else could one explain the game’s strong sales figures?
4. Pro Evolution Soccer 2012: It may not be topping the charts as Konami would have liked but at least it has closed the weekly gap between itself and its closest competitor, FIFA 12.
3. FIFA 12: is EA’s best selling sports title to date, yet even it finds itself in third spot on the charts as it hovers over its competition, Pro Evo.
2. Batman: Arkham City: so it seems that Batman has been knocked off the rooftops of the PlayStation 3 charts as Gotham City decided to call in the military.
1. Battlefield 3: the military of course being Electronic Arts, fastest selling game to date, Battlefield 3. The game may be facing a number of issues with its online log in system and p****y at the moment, yet that does not seem to have
affected the game’s strong sales.
