  1. you shouldn't be trying to capitalize off recycling?

give something back to mother earth

  2. alumminum cans

  3. The lead in batteries about 5 cents a pound, aluminum cans about 10 cents a pound. If you wait til summer the price will jump. The cans will take alot to make a pound.Good Luck.

  4. It depends where you are, and of politics. Here in California: 1) aluminum cans($1.55 per pound, but the cans must be CRV). As for batteries(you don't specify what kind?), other aluminum, and other recyclables, there must be a market for those products, you have to do your own research, or give them away to your municipality.

  5. depends on how much of each you have, mostly likley the cans, because they added up quick in the house

  6. cans

  7. Both cans and tabs I would remove the tabs from the cans though as the tabs are worth more alone  I would also crush the cans.

  8. Depends upon the type of battery.  Right now, lead based batteries (like car batteries) are getting top dollar at many facilities.  Lead value has increased over 100% on the metal exchange markets over the last 2-years.  If you are looking at other battery chemistries, prices will vary.  Silver Oxide (commonly used in watches) has an increased value, but it difficult to get a volume of silver to make it worthwhile for cash recycling.  Most recycling facilities will take alkaline, but do not pay for it.  Aluminum value is up, but you will need to check your recycling center for current value.  One way or the other, you will want to recycle both of these types of products and get cash value where you can.

  9. Stop messing around and get a real job, loser.

  10. The tabs and the tops of the cans are worth the most. they are better aluminum due to the fact that they are thicker and have not been painted like the sides of the can, making the recycling process much easier. i suppose that is why many organizations such as the Ronald McDonald house take the tabs as donations. Batteries in my experience are bulky, messy, and worth about $5.00 to $8.00 each the last time i checked. If i were you i would save them all, if your going to the recycling center they will probably take all the items, so you may as well get the most money you can for your trip there.

  11. Aluminum is worth a lot these days.  When we replaced our old windows we took the old frames to be recycled and got paid for them.

As for batteries, some places will give you $10.00 for them. I think you need to purchase the new one in the same place.

  12. I'm not sure.
