The Daily Mirror website. What a hypocrite. On Tv pontificating against battery reared chickens and eggs like an evangelical, yet uses them in his own poncy over priced establishments. Didn't know my @rse! Didn't want anyone else to know more like..

On the payroll of his rich friends when it comes to making biased sensationalist, meant to shock TV.

Next you'll find out he uses cheap chickens and all, or really shops at Iceland to feed his fleeced restaurant diners. Remember it was £7.50 for beans on toast? What a rip off.

  1. of course he knew!!  when you have a restuarant...overheads are high so you have to penny pinch wherever you can!!  personally...i can't stand listening to the bloke...far too self righteous for my liking!!

  2. I think Jamie Oliver is a hypocrite! Writing to the head of Sainsburys grovelling for his contract- I think Jamie could afford to stick by his principles and tell Sainsbursy he couldnt be associated with them whilst they offered battery eggs and hens- but no- he grovelled and said the media had twisted his words.

Jamie is obviously not a man of action nor honor and I am sick of him and his pathetic attempts to get on the honours list!

  3. I know. Was never taken in by his pranks and boyish image. Underneath all that is a devious and calculating mind that cares only for Jubbly Oliver who keeps wanting more.

  4. As far as all this goes, I'll still carry on buying the cheaper eggs and bargain chickens, it's all a matter of cost !

  5. Practice what you preach Jamie. Poor chickens!

  6. He had good intentions to begin with-i.e making everyone aware of the importance of good nutrition.

On the use of battery farmed eggs? I hope he's aware of the implications and remember what he set out to do in the 1st place.

  7. I've never been a fan of Jamie Oliver.  He has decimated the 'school lunch' by encouraging all comfort food to be removed from the menu - all he did was force kids into the Chip shop at lunch time.

I'm also sure that there are many people eating in his restaurants that are getting more than their fair share of calories - and it looks like he's fleecing them with cheap mass produced produce.

He needs a kick in the backside....

  8. I think it might be a hoax.

  9. I have never been a Jamie Oliver fan, but if this is really true he is so two faced. We should be informed of the bad conditions of animals in intensive farming- but then to use it.........

I forsee a new career in politics for Jamie, he has the makings of a senior politician!!!!

  10. I have never liked Jamie Oliver and his patronising ways - does not know how the real world has to live.
