Battery holder- how do i attatch the wires?

i have got a battery holder without any wires (red and black).

how should i attach the wires to the holder? thanks! should i do it like in this picture? (solder the wires to the rings?)

Yes, soldering will provide the best connection; the picture provided is a good example.

The Red wire will be the positive and the black should be negative.
