i bough an inpulse vzw razr from walmart in february. it has had poor battery life the whole time. i have noticed that the battery which used to last for a couple days now only lasts for one day or less. i now have to charge it every day and somtimes a "booster" during the day. i have spotty service in my house (have to go outside to make/recive calls that i can understand)but the service at school is pretty good. i was wondering if the battery is bad or it is just going dead faster because i am home all the time in the summer (no school). also are there any ways to get as good battery life as my other phone (1-2 weeks)? thanks!!

  1. It's true that it takes more battery power the harder it is for your phone to get a signal (like inside), and internet browsing and downloads can use a lot, too! But, you may be having a combination of battery problems and signal strength. If you can find a reasonably priced replacement battery, maybe you could keep one charged on standby. If a new battery doesn't seem to fix the problem (which would mean it was a signal strength and usage issue instead of the battery). I have noticed the razor uses a lot more battery than my older smaller motorola did! Bigger screen, thinner profile, etc on the razor are part of the battery life, too. Hope you figure it out.

  2. Sorry, it sounds like its your battery, samet hing happened with my old phone.

When you charge your phone, do leave it on the charger overnight? if so, thats what killed it. Leaving the phone on the charger longer than needed fries the battery.

Once the battery starts dying, there is no way of reviving it back to the normal battery life it once had. It only gets worse (mine finally stopped turning on)

  3.   The trouble is your phone is working to maintain a connection to the tower, that will drain the battery much quicker than normal. It is not the phone or the battery it's where you are. I work in a jail and when i was in the basement where it's hard to maintain a signal the battery would die in a couple of hours.

  4. I think its the battery i would pick up a new one for it and it should be working so much better
