Battery operated crock pot ?

I would like to try to find a battery operated crock pot for upcoming football season tailgating....anyone know where I can order one? Thanks

  1. i've never ever heard of that.  You would probably use up batteries so fast if they had that since they're on for long periods of time.


  2. A battery operated crock pot would run a battery dead in no time.

  3. Coleman makes a propane operated slow cooker.  It uses the small bottles that you would use on a camp stove.  Found it last year $50-60.

    Haven't seen a battery operated one, but I would think it would use up your battery fast.

    Husband added this comment:  Go to Radio Shack and get an inverter.  It converts car battery into being able to use your electric items.  Slow cookers don't use much energy, it just used a little for a long period.

    If you do get the propane version, don't use indoors of course.
