Battery vs Power Cell?

What are the pros and cons of these two car audio iteams? Ive heard a battery puts more strain on the charging system, but a power cell does not. And if the amp is hooked up directly to the battery how does this affect the alternator vs hooking up directly to a power cell in the trunk?

  1. it doesnt really make that much difference.

a powercell is like a second battery that hold charge and the subs run off.

it still needs to obtain charge from the alternator, where else whould it get power from (the magic power fairy that comes and charges it of a night for you)

the storage is just different in the power cell so it can hold the charge for longer and charges  quicker when it is charged.

i have a second battery and a powercap.

all my sound system and powercap are connected to the second batter battery which is connected directly to the altenator. that why i can drain it down to apsolute zero and still have the power to start and drive my car form the factory battery. (and be able to charge the sytem back up without needing a jump start)
