Batting alongside http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Tendulkar-c2556 has been a great learning curve, says Rohit Sharma – Cricket News Update
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL), as it provides him a massive opportunity to learn from the batting legend, Sachin Tendulkar.
The right-handed batsman is considered to be one of the most talented batsmen in world cricket these days. He has so far established himself in India’s limited-overs setup and has already played a number of match-winning knocks at
the highest stage of the game.
Rohit started his IPL career from Deccan Chargers but shifted to Mumbai after the third season of the tournament. The 25-year-old cricketer from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Maharashtra-c811 has been a prolific run-getter in the cash-rich league over the years.
He has been batting at number three in the current season for Mumbai and has batted alongside the Master-Blaster on a number of occasions. Rohit said that Tendulkar has been a great helping hand for him throughout the tournament.
Rohit has been a touch inconsistent in the fifth season of the league so far but the stylish right-handed batsman is geared up to lift his performance in the crunch matches. The tournament is coming close to the deciding stages and
Sharma knows that he will have to be at his best, if Mumbai is to clinch the title.
He expressed, "Whenever I batted with him, he came up to me and always said what I needed to do. It's a good helping hand from him. I've really benefited a lot. I've to do well whatever games left and will try to win the Cup for Mumbai
Indians."
Mumbai is currently placed at number four on the points table with 14 points after 12 fixtures. It needs to win three out of the last four league matches in order to qualify for the play-off stage of the event. Rohit understands that
his team has no more room for error.
“We could have done much better as we lost a few close games. At the same time we won a few close ones. It's part and parcel of game. We still have four more quite crucial games to decide where we end up in the tournament," the young
batsman added.
