Battle for best qb in the nfl ! Peyton Manning or Tom Brady?

who do u think is the best ? i say manning hands down.he will have every qb record by the time he retires. and brady hasnt even put up nearly as good stats as manning before this season. with moss welker and a pro bowl o-line h**l i could throw 50 td's lol the guy has like an hour to throw the ball. idk but in my opinion he is overated he has a great team that makes him look better than he really is. what do u think ?

This same question is being asked repeatedly.  It is subjective and very much a matter of personal preference.  I personally would go with Peyton Manning, he is an extremely intelligent quarterback on the field. He has an ability to read defenses  like no other that I have witnessed.  

Tom Brady, I  despise him as a person, and  do not like his me oriented philosphy.  He plays  when there is no longer a game, that is often why there is a disparity between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.  That being said, he is one of the best ever, and one of the two best  QB's in the league currently.  I respect his ability and dedication to the game of football.



When their careers are over, both Peyton Manning and Tom Brady will be hall of fame quarterbacks and ranked among the elite that ever graced the field.

I really think there is so much good play in both of them. Both have strengths and both have weaknesses.

A great team around you will always make you a better QB. No question about it. That is why Brady looks really good. That is why all of the Hall of Fame guys looked really good. Do you think that if you didn't have a great team around you that you could possibly put up great numbers like they did? The number one thing a QB needs is to have a great OL. Without that, there is not a chance in you know where to be successful as a QB.

You say Brady is overrated? Why? The guy was a 6th round draft pick. Come on, overrated? Give me something that says he is. I hate the guy but respect him as a QB. I will always, I mean always, root against the Pats any day of the week. But at the same time, would I pass him up as a QB on my fantasy team? Ummm, no way. There is no way that I can deny his skill as a QB. He has the presence that no QB has shown in a long, long time. The grace in his throws, the calmness he has in 4th Quarters when he is down and needs a TD do win. You can always count on him to make the throw to the right guy to get in position to win the game.

Most of this same applies to Manning also. Except that I actually like Manning a lot more then I do Brady.

As for the best, it is preference. But if I had to pick one or the other, it would be Manning.

Brady has the rings. I just don't know if Spygate will taint them. I say no; but I'm sure a lot of people disagree.

HOWEVER; the term "best" is always reserved for a guy who wins titles; not just a guy with great stats. For example; Troy Aikman never put up great numbers; he just won. That's why he's in the Hall of Fame and QB's with more passing yards and touchdowns (Vinny Testaverde, for example) won't be.

So to answer your question: they are BOTH EXCELLENT. But I give the edge-and it's slight-to Brady.

In the regular season, Peyton Manning is the best QB. In the playoffs, Eli Manning is the best QB.

Tom Brady? He barely cracks my top 10.

peyton manning because the colts didnt really have a good defense until recent years hence the reason why he doesnt have all the super bowl rings that brady does. plus he is in a tougher division then tom brady is. brady plays the dolphins, jets and bills twice a year while manning has to play the jags, titans and texans. besides all in all peyton manning is better cuz he doesnt have to cheat like tom brady to win games! :P

Brady.  Manning apologist have for years complained of Brady's lack of meaningless numbers.  Brady fans have always said if Brady had receivers like Manning, you'd see.  Last year he did and you saw it.

And still "special" people like you say Peyton.

I am a Hawks fan, so I can only answer this question so well. But, I think that with Peyton Manning's surgery, and him getting older, I think that Tom Brady should out pass Peyton. Also, Tom Brady lead the league in TD's passing yards, and came second in QB rating, and Peyton got 700 less than Tom's 4806 passing yards, only 31 touchdowns and only a 91 qb rating last year, Brady should win in a qb face off. I have to admit, the o line and the recievers do help, but he still has to throw to the exact place at the exact time to be a good qb. Otherwise, he could keep throwing interceptions and the line and recivers wouldnt matter.
