Question:

Battle of the Promotions; Then and Now. *WQ inside*?

During the Monday Nite Wars, I admit, I became a true WWE fan partly because I felt that WCW had every advantage, and was behaving like a corporate bully by signing WWE talent to bigger contracts, which the WWE could never afford. Question is to either TNA or WWE fans out there: How many of YOU feel that MAYBE the WWE has now become "the corporate giant" and TNA is now the "beloved underdog promotion"? WWE will sign Gail Kim to more $$$ than TNA can afford to pay her. More TNA stars will likely follow. Your thoughts? And ty in advance.

  1. I think WWE has become a bit the corporate Gaint and TNA is the underdog in it all. But the thing is both are very similar. I mean wrestlers from both WWE and TNA are know everywere and respected in both industries  Names like John Cena, Edge, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Rob Van Dam, Kurt Angle, the Undertaker, and Batista are household names in WWE, while TNA boasts the talents of Samoa Joe, A.J. Styles, Christian Cage, Jeff Jarrett, Rhino, and Sting, among others. Both companies have monthly PPV events, as well as weekly television shows. And i have a feeling the only reason they bought back ECW was not to please to the original ECW fans but beat TNA.

WWE is definitly the corprate Gaint, look at WWE, it has the ability to throw more money at talent than any other wrestling promotion today.  TNA, on the other hand, has to go more conservative and not spend as much money because they dont have any were near the budget WWE has. WWE are definitly the bullies on this one because they are putting preassure onto TNA. And TNA could end up going down if they feel preassured to improve.

TNA is building their product up, similar to what WCW did back in the late 80's and early 90's but the difference is TNA does NOT have the money that WCW had. WWE isn't trying to eliminate TNA just yet. But if TNA gets bigger and better we could see history repeating itself again. TNA will begin to pose a dangerous threat to WWE's dominance in the wrestling buisness especially if WWE keeps force feeding us garbage like the Great Khali.

  3. WWF > WWE & TNA & 2000 WCW

  4. Somewhat agree. The biggest defference between what WCW was doing back then and what WWE is doing now, is that WWE is not trying to put TNA out of business as WCW was trying to do to WWE, Vince McMahon himself has stated that he thinks competition is better for the business and he welcomes it. He feels that when a wrestler gets stale in WWE or needs more expirence, they can go to another promotion for a couple of years and then maybe return to be WWE superstars.

  5. WWF was just as much of a corporate giant as WCW you say WCW signed WWF stars to bigger and better contracts well WWF signed and raided ECW stars to bigger and better contracts just like they did during the 80's when they raided the local territories for people like Andre the giant, hulk hogan and roddy piper to say the least. Nothing has or ever will change.

  6. CZW > Mainstream Wrestling

F*ck All You Haters ! CM Punk Wrestled For CZW One Time. He Is Now Your World Heavyweight Champion. Petey Williams, Your X Division Champion Wrestled For CZW Also. It's Not All Deathmatch Wrestling !

    So...F*ck The Haters. Ya'll Can Munch On A C*ck.
