As a member of the Bay Area community I can tell you first hand that everyone in the bay flip flops when it comes to rooting for a team.  The Bay Area's favorite team is whoever is having a better season.  Now I like both teams because of my proximity to them, but I'd have to pick the Niners over the Raiders.  I look at it like this... I want both teams to go undefeated, with the Niners beating the Raiders in the Superbowl.
