‘Battle of words’ continues between Red Bulls and Ferraris
The war of words keeps getting more intense and heated up as the 2010 Formula One season reaches it last and final stage. The Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali, has come up with a sharp blow of words for the Red Bull Racing, proclaiming that the team has not
been able to get the maximum out of the miraculous car it possessed this season.
The Red Bull team Principal, Christian Horner last week commented that it would be very ‘frustrating’ to see Ferrari winning the title. He gave this statement owing to the incident of team ordering seen by the Italian team at the German Grand Prix.
Though Ferrari got a penalty of $100,000, yet no points were deducted from any of the team drivers. The former FIA president Max Moseley last week commented that if the Ferrari driver, Fernando Alonso wins by the lead of seven points or less it would ‘devalue’
the championship. Later, the Red bull team principal also commented, "It would be frustrating because we've obviously worked under the auspices that team orders have been illegal."
However, Domenicali added more fuel to the fire of the words’ war between the two leading teams by his remarks. While talking to the reporters the Italian said, "When you consider the car Red Bull have had this year, in my eyes it's a miracle that we are
fighting for this title at all. If we had that advantage, the championship would be decided already."
When asked about the comments of the two team bosses, the McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh said, "It may well be that other teams have a different view on that but at the end of the day Red Bull have produced a fast car and have been highly competitive
all year and Ferrari, you've got to give them credit regardless of the team orders debate and all those other things."
However, the McLaren boss further refused to be pulled in the ‘talk war’ saying that whatever that has been said cannot be taken back and the rest would be decided on the track in the remaining two races. He further said that all he is looking forward now
is to hail the last two races of a great championship season with optimism.
Nonetheless, many of the analysts believe that Ferrari is no doubt correct when it says that with the superior machinery that the Red Bull had right from the start of the season, the Championship should have already been wrapped by now.
