Battle rifle or carbine...?

my friend and i hav been arguing for a while now about whether the carbine or battle rifle is better in halo 3.i believe the battle frifle is, but we need sum opinions from u guys, :)

There was actualy a test and the Carbine won. But this was when they were both standing still facing each other. In an actual battle the Battle Rifle will win.

Battle rifle kicks butt, with the burst you can get a better opportunity for a head shot while on the run.  carbine single shot bugs me and it don't really sound like its powerful making it pretty boring to me.
