Battlefield 2 Running Slow at random?

Question

I recently formatted my computer, and before this, Battfleild 2 ran extremely well at a great FPS, but about a month after formatting, I reinstalled BF2 and well: Anything in the multiplayer option runs extremely slow, and anything in singleplayer is fine.

I don't know waht the cause is, but I know what it isn't:

Not my Comp Specs

No procesess' running in background

Have tried many restarts

As far as I know, there is no spyware/adware slowing it down, as other games run perfectly.

Any help is appreciated.

Well I had the same thing soo I bought a new graphics card and ram. It works better now.

all u can realy do.

1.turn off the prograns that outo self run when u start ur pc.

2.clean ur pc from filez that u dont use like software ect.

3.if u have the windows go ton maintenance check and it should tell u what u can do.

and if all fail upgrade ur gaming pc it can be expensive but if ur a gamer its worth it.

It may be punkbuster trying install updates and services.

Download and run pbsvc choose uninstall first then install.

Download and run pbsetup to manually update pb.

Also update your gfx drivers and delete the old cache files in My documents/battlefield 2/mods/bf2/cache/

It's due to the fact that too many people are playing at the same time, causing the server to slow down, that's why you're only affected whilst playing online not single player.
