Battlefield 2142 multiplayer?

Is battlefield 2142 just multiplayer or does it have both online play and single player campigin. IM thinking of buying but online play dosent work to well. so please help me and Does it work for windows vista?

The only single player option is to play against bots. The game will run under Windows Vista, you may have to set the game to run as an Administrator though.
