Battlefield 3 flanks Batman: Arkham City in the Xbox 360 Charts in the United Kingdom
The Xbox 360 charts tend to paint a different picture as compared to its PC and PlayStation 3 counterparts, yet most of the time, any game that does well here tends to top the overall charts in the United Kingdom as well.
It is time now to take a look at the charts for the previous week of sales in the United Kingdom.
10. Deus Ex: Human Revolution: consistency seems to be the name of the game for Square Enix’s latest iteration of the Deus Ex series as Human Revolution finishes in tenth place on the 360 chart after a ending up in a similar position of
the PlayStation 3 chart.
9. Dead Island: the game may be off the PlayStation 3 and PC charts, yet it seems the Xbox 360 demographic of gamers in the United Kingdom still seem to find the idea of fighting off hordes of zombies on a paradise island their idea of
a good time.
8. Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure: not many may be familiar with the game, yet the latest Skylanders game has done well for itself by managing to stay in the top ten places in the charts for another week running.
7. Rage: It may not be receiving praise from every corner of the gaming community but the post-apocalyptic first-person shooter is managing to keep its publisher happy on the revenue front, as it continues to post impressive sales figures
every week.
6. Kinect Sports: Season Two: the second instalment of the Kinect Sports series may not be the hardcore ‘AAA’ title the Kinect so desperately needs yet it does add a nice party flavour for Microsoft’s motion controlled peripheral.
5. Gears of War 3: the final chapter in Marcus Fenix’s epic trilogy, Gears of War 3 had one of the biggest opening weeks in the UK’s game industry this year. It has not let up though as it continues to sell in high numbers and is only expected
to sell more during the Christmas period.
4. FIFA 12: 360 users seem to prefer FIFA 12 as compared to its rival, Pro Evolution Soccer, as EA Sports’ football simulation game is doing the business in the charts for yet another week.
3. Forza Motorsport 4: fast cars, solid gameplay and some of the best visuals on the console mean that Forza 4 is not a game anyone would want to pass up and it seems very few are.
2. Batman: Arkham City: the caped crusader has finally been knocked off the top of the sales charts as another EA title makes its debut. No prizes for guessing which game that is.
1. Battlefield 3: a modern military first-person shooter with unrivalled environment destruction and some of the best multiplayer on offer. Was Battlefield 3 debuting at the top ever in any doubt?
