Battlefield 3 takes on Football Manager 2012 in the United Kingdom’s PC Charts
The PC charts tend to follow a different pattern from the rest of the charts in the United Kingdom and this distinct nature makes for some interesting viewing.
While there were no new games making their debut in the top ten spots in the charts, there was plenty of movement, surprisingly at the top of the charts where Battlefield 3 and Football Manager 2012 duked it out for the honour of claiming the top spot as
their own.
10. Rage: Bethesda may not have gotten unanimous praise for their post-apocalyptic first-person shooter, yet the game has earned itself cult status among the gamers of today. In the process it has also earned a fair amount of revenue as
well.
9. Deus Ex: Human Revolution: the rebirth of one of the gaming world’s once forgotten series, Human Revolution is a gem of a game and the fact that it is still in the top ten of the sales charts is a testament to exactly how sublime the
game is.
8. The Sims 3: Medieval: the first of five The Sims titles on the charts for this week is The Sims: Medieval, which despite being a fairly early expansion pack release, is managing to sell enough to ensure a top ten berth.
7. The Sims: Late Night: one of the longest nights in gaming charts history, the Late Night expansion pack for the The Sims just does not seem like it will be seeing the light of day any time soon as it just does not stop selling.
6. World of Warcraft: Cataclysm: the number of subscribers for the game may be down by 30% yet that does not seem to be affecting the sales for the game as it continues it climb up from the cataclysm and into the top half of the chart.
5. The Sims 3: Generations: taking the number five spot for the week is Generations as the expansion pack continues to do the business. We could talk more about it but there are other Sims games as well who would feel left out. For example:
4. The Sims 3: the game that started it all in terms of the expansion packs on the chart, the Sims 3 continues to sell well, losing out a top three spot to one of its own.
3. The Sims: Pets: giving players the ability to keep a pet or become one, Pets seems to have found a place in almost every PC gamers’ shelf.
2. Battlefield 3: it may be EA’s fastest selling game of all time yet it seem that the modern military shooter has lost out the top spot.
1. Football Manager 2012: with the international break coming up it a number of gamers in the United Kingdom have turned to the Sega’s football management simulation title.
