Eric Bautheac is on the verge of completing his move to Nice. Out of contract with Dijon, relegated to Ligue 2, the midfielder is close to signing a three-year deal with OGC Nice
After a fine season with Dijon, the Frenchman is available on a Bosman transfer. Several Ligue 1 clubs are interested in attaining the services of Eric Bautheac.
Lille, Nice, Saint-Etienne are all in the race to sign the midfielder but according to reports, OGC Nice are in firm position to snatch the talented midfielder away from the reach of other clubs. Nice are already in contact with the player and it is expected
that in next few days, a deal would be signed between the club and the player.
When Bautheac was asked about his future, the Frenchman claimed that nothing has been finalised so far. The player has received offers from Lille, Saint-Etienne and Nice. However, a move to Nice seems more likely as the player favours a move to Stade Municipal

“A move to Nice is very much possible. I have to choose between Nice, Lille and Saint-Etienne. All these clubs have great programs; however, Nice attracts me more because it is an ambitious side.”
Eric Bautheac claimed that Nice have offered him a three-year contract but the former Dijon man denied reports claiming that he has already signed a contract with Les Aiglons. The Frenchman revealed that next week that he will make a decision regarding his
future.
“The Eaglets have offered me a three-year contract. This is a deal that suits me. Next week, I will make a decision about my next move.”
According to reports, new coach of Nice, Claude Puel regards Bautheac in high regards and wants to make the 24-year-old his first signing of the summer.
Eric Bautheac enjoyed a terrific personal season at Dijon in 2011/2012. Even though Dijon have been relegated to Ligue 2, Bautheac’s excellent form was worthy of praise. The Frenchman was the best passer for his team last season in which he managed to make
34 appearances for Dijon. The 24-year-old midfielder scored 8 goals in Ligue 1 in 2011/2012 campaign and provided several assists for his teammates.
