Bawaardi rated favourite for £32 Free At 32Red.com Selling Stakes
Bawaardi has been rated as favourite for the £32 Free At 32Red.com Selling Stakes at Wolverhampton in England on Tuesday, April 24, 2012. The triumphant horse will be awarded a cash prize of £1,704.
A total of seven runners have been attracted towards the 7 furlong 32 yard event, which is scheduled to start at 14:50 GMT. The going will be standard and following are the entries confirmed: Spin Again, Unlimited, Bawaardi, Spinning Ridge, Not My Choice,
Finefrenzyrolling and Eyes On.
Out of the above mentioned runners, Bawaardi seems to be the one with best chances of winning the race. The bookies have shown full confidence in his abilities, but the punters might be discouraged to place bets on him, as his recent form has not been impressive.
The six-year-old gelding has got plenty of experience, as he has taken part in 38 races until now. His strike is on the lower side, as he has managed to win just six events whereas finished runner up on the same number of times. In addition to that, he has
also finished third on five occasions, which shows that he is a fierce competitor.
In his most recent race, the David Evans’ trainee ended up eight overall. He was not expected to win back then, as he was up against some quality runners. However, things will be a lot easier for him at Wolverhampton.
Bawaardi will be partnered by Richard Evans, who has earned some victories at this level, but has an unimpressive strike rate. He needs to bring a lot more consistency in his performances.
Another runner, who might attract some bets in his favour, is Unlimited. The veteran gelding has participated in 93 races until now, winning 10 of them and finishing runner up on 17 times. Moreover, he has also taken the third spot on eight occasions.
Looking at the experience and recent form of the Tony Carroll’s trainee, it seems likely that he will challenge his rivals for victory. He will be ridden by Neil Callan, who is a seasoned jockey and has got plenty of victories to his name.
Other than the top two favourites, Spin Again will also be the one to watch out for in the race.
