Bayer Leverkusen President Wolfgang Holzhauser blasts Bayern Munich- Bundesliga news

Bayer Leverkusen President Wolfgang Holzhauser has blasted Bayern Munich for the club’s recent claims that Arturo Vidal betrayed them. He claimed that if a player does not sign for your club, it does not mean he lacks loyalty and
character. He also admitted that Leverkusen had denied the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chile-c2871 international a move to Allianz Arena.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arturo-Vidal-c6760 had recently joined Italian giants Juventus after months of speculation over his future. The player had openly expressed his desire to join former Werkself boss Jupp Heynckes at Bayern but the move fell through and
he moved to Turin.
Holzhauser claimed that the player was right to move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 as Leverkusen had denied him a move to Munich. Rudi Voller had revealed that the club will not sell to any of their German counterparts.
The President insisted that Bayern Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge’s comments were mere frustration of missing out on the player and added that Leverkusen would surely not want its competitors to get stronger at their expense.
“Just because a player does not comply with a promise to sign for a team it does not mean he lacks character. I think this is absolutely exaggerated. We denied him a transfer to a Bundesliga rival. We do not want to make our competitors
stronger. We aim to play at the top,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The chief defended the club’s decision not to sell the player by claiming that Bayern did the same thing when Werkself offered to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Toni-Kroos-c35425 after the player spent two years on loan at the club. He insisted that Bayern denied
the youngster a move at that time.

“When we had him [Kroos] on loan for two years, and after we made him a top player, we wanted to keep him, but the Bavarians said no,” the President concluded.
Bayer Leverkusen had a better season domestically as compared to their bitter rivals, Bayern Munich. The former have been critical in recent years as some of Werkself’s best players have transferred to Bavaria including Michael
Ballack, Ze http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucio-c22597.
