Bayer Leverkusen manager Robin Dutt has expressed his delight after winning against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 in the Bundesliga this past weekend. He stated that the team has shown great character after suffering two consecutive defeats in
the league at the hands of FC Koln and Bayern Munich respectively.
Werkself downed Felix Magath’s side 3-1 at the BayArena on Saturday to secure their fourth win of the season. Defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gonzalo-Castro-c15105 gave the hosts the early lead and strike duo Eren Derdiyok and Stefan Kiessling were amongst
the goals after the interval to make sure Leverkusen secure all three points at the end of the day.
Dutt claimed that his side has proved yet again that they are surely the team to watch out for this season. He stated that that hosts dominated the proceedings from the whistle and were brilliant throughout the course of 90 minutes.
The tactician claimed that the margin of win could have been much higher but the opposition goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-Benaglio-c11085 made some excellent saves and made sure that no more than three goals are scored.
“My team proved from the first whistle that they were determined to walk off the pitch as winners. Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Diego Benaglio was in top form and stopped us from winning by a bigger margin. Collectively we put in a top
performance. Most pleasing for me was the team’s body language during the match,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, Wolfsburg manager Felix Magath admitted that his team played poorly and deserved to lose in the end. He added that the performance after the interval was better but the players could not take the pressure from
the home side.
“We bowed to their pressure instead of holding our own against it. We proved that we were better than that with the way we played in the second half. In the end though we deserved to lose 3-1,” he concluded.
Bayer Leverkusen will travel to Borussia Monchengladbach whereas VfL Wolfsburg will host http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FC-Nuremberg-c38162 in their next respective league games.
