Bayer Leverkusen manager Robin Dutt looks to take inspiration from Borussia Dortmund
Bayer Leverkusen manager Robin Dutt looks to take inspiration from last year’s Bundesliga champions, Borussia Dortmund. He stated that the team will definitely regain its confidence in the next few games and that there will be
more consistency in the results soon after.
Werkself have had a dreadful start to the season as they have been knocked out from the DFB-Pokal in the first round and have suffered a defeat in the opening fixture of the Bundesliga campaign.
The results are in contrast to the club’s performances in the last season as they finished runners-up behind Borussia Dortmund under then manager Jupp Heynckes. Robin Dutt for appointed the new manager before the start of the campaign
as Heynckes left for Bayern Munich.
Dutt claimed that the position of the club currently is similar to where Dortmund stood last season. He stated that Jurgen Klopp’s side lost the first game of the season and were knocked out of the German Cup also but they showed
great determination to go and win the Bundesliga title at the end of the term.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Freiburg-c40462 manager urged his side to draw some inspiration from last year’s champions and remained hopeful that the team performs well in the upcoming fixtures.
“The launch is of course turned out differently than expected. But I'm not the quality of our team depends on two lost games. Think of Dortmund in the last year: They lost to start against Bayer 04 - 0-2 in their own stadium. Then
they failed in the second round of the Cup. At the end, Dortmund were Champions,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The tactician admitted that it is better that things go wrong in the beginning and they are corrected at the end rather than they go wrong at the end.
“Sometimes it is better if it does not work out at the beginning - then you may want to correct something,” he concluded.
Bayer Leverkusen take on Werder Bremen in their second Bundesliga fixture at the BayArena in Leverkusen on Sunday, August 14.
