Bayer Leverkusen manager Robin Dutt targets a third consecutive victory in the Champions League
Bayer Leverkusen boss Robin Dutt has stated that his team will surely go for a win against Valencia in Tuesday night’s encounter at the Mestalla in Spain. He admitted that it will be a very tough game and added that his team will
have to show a lot of determination to secure three points against a strong opposition.
Werkself will be looking for a third consecutive win in the UEFA Champions League this season. They lost the first match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge but have come back strongly with two home wins against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Racing-c40298 Genk and
Valencia. A win against in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 would surely cement their chances of playing in the knock-out stage of the competition.
Dutt claimed that win would the main target for his team in a difficult game. He insisted that his side has worked very hard to reach the second place in Group-E after the opening game loss in London and wants to continue with
the winning form.
“Victory is the main objective, but we're expecting a very tough game. We haven't had to work on making sure the players are extra motivated. We have worked very hard to get here with this four-point advantage. Against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786
it was very hard, as it was versus Valencia, which was perhaps one of our hardest matches at home,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Freiburg-c40462 manager regarded the match against Valencia as a final because a win would mean they will progress to the next round and a loss would put the Spaniards back in contention in the group. He wants to capitalize
on Friday’s win against Freiburg in the Bundesliga and wants the players to give in their best for the clash.
“This is like a final because if they win they'll still have a chance of being in the next round − if we win we'll be through,” he concluded.
