According to Bayer Leverkusen chief executive Wolfgang Holzhauser the Bundesliga side have rejected a bid by English Premier League side Chelsea for Andre Schurrle.
The Blues are reportedly interested in bringing in the 21-year-old forward c*m winger to Stamford Bridge in the summer transfer window. It is believed that Chelsea manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo is of the opinion that the Germain international would make an interesting
addition to the London side.

Chelsea were initially linked with FC Porto striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 and is looking for
a reunion with the 25-year-old.
This leaves Chelsea competing with their London rivals for the services of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 international, who has not yet commented on his future. While Hulk revealed he would not mind a move to the English Premier League, he admitted he was happy with the Portuguese
giants.
It is the uncertainty surrounding the acquisition of Hulk that has the Blues looking at alternatives. The Champions League winners have identified Schurrle as a possible target and reportedly even made a bid for the young German, which was rejected by Bayer
Leverkusen.
The German side’s chief executive confirmed that the Blues had made a bid worth more than 20 million Euros, but it had been rejected. He revealed they intended to keep the German forward and confirmed that the player himself had wanted to remain with the
Bundesliga side.
Holzhauser said while speaking to reporters:
“We were presented with a very concrete offer from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 for Andre of beyond the 20 million euro mark. The sum was pushed back and forth between the two clubs. We ultimately chose Andre.
Andre is very valuable for us. He has also made it clear he would like to stay with us.”
