Last year’s Bundesloga runners-up Bayer, Leverkusen, have breathed a sigh of relief with the arrival of Stuttgart’s teenage shot-stopper, Bernd Leno. The 19-year-old has joined the club on-loan until December 31 following a serious injury to the stand in

Leverkusen lost that game 2-0 and it was Giefer’s mistake that gifted O-Fives the opening goal in the 32nd minute.
The goalie later clashed heads with Mainz second half substitute, Eric Choupo-Moting, and complained about a concussion after the game. The youngster was taken to the hospital where the doctors advised him three days of rest. The Werkself number one goalkeeper,
Rene Adler, has already been sidelined until the second half of the season.
Second choice goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Yelldell, is also suffering from a minor injury problem. This situation caused havoc in the club’s camp and they immediately had to bid for the trio’s replacement.
Leno was at first uncertain to make a move to BayArena but Stuttgart officials showed no hesitancy in letting the player go. The teenager was himself pleased with a move to Leverkusen which would allow him to get some first team appearances under his belt.
He seemed confident about his chances at the club and wished a quick recovery to Adler and Co.
There was a statement on the club’s official website saying, "Bayer Leverkusen have reacted swiftly following injury problems to its goalkeepers and have signed 19-year-old Bernd Leno. He joins on loan until Dec. 31."
Club’s sporting director Rudi Voller also expressed delight at the arrival of the goalkeeper and enthused, "We are happy to have found a good short-term solution for this important position."
Giefer’s condition seemed to get worse after the player declined making any mistake against Mainz. When asked about his blunder on Sunday, he told that he doesn’t remember any such act. The goalkeeper, who was set to miss the club’s next game, has now been
ruled out for an indefinite period of time.
