Bayer Leverkusen’s Rudi Voller reveals Rene Adler has agreed to sign new deal-Bundesliga news
Bayer Leverkusen General Manager Rudi Voller has claimed that the club have agreed with goalkeeper Rene Adler on a new contract and it is only a matter of time when everything is finalised. He also added that the club’s main aim
would be to perform well in their UEFA Champions League campaign in the upcoming season.
Werkself had a tremendous season last term and ended runners-up to Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. The club accumulated 68 points with 20 wins in the 34 games played and achieved automatic qualification for the Champions League
in the upcoming season.
Voller claimed that Rene Adler will surely stay with the club next season and a new deal is in the pipeline for the German international. The shot stopper was linked with a move to Schalke following the departure of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-Neuer-c23424
to Bayern Munich. But Leverkusen have agreed a deal to keep the player at his boyhood club.
“We are both in contact with Rene Adler and his advisers. We have now agreed that René will sign here. This does not matter as there is neither time pressure nor a deadline,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Werder Bremen striker added that he is confident of a great season ahead and the club is aiming to perform well in Europe. He insisted that winning the Bundesliga would still remain one of the goals but performing well
in the Champions League will also be a major objective.
“We want a bit more to get out. Therefore, we have also brought Dutt. Sure, we are in the Champions League in Europe to show that we are back. The aim is in any case to reach back into the Bundesliga and the direct Champions League
qualification,” he concluded.
Rudi Voller said that he is happy with the club’s transfer activity this summer with the likes of Andre Schurrle, Omer Toprak and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arturo-Vidal-c6760
