Bayern Munich, Predictions and goal keeper analysis (Part 1)
Bayern Munich is definitely one of the most successful German football clubs in the history of the game. They are one of those three clubs who have won all three major European Competitions. They have been German champions for a record number of 22 times. They have won the DFP-Pokal 15 times, which is also a record. Not only this, they have a record in DFB Liga-Pokal and the DFB Supercup and they have won both of them 6 and 4 times respectively. They have been the winners of the UEFA Champions league for 4 times and they have been the runner-ups 4 times as well, including last year’s Champions League, which they lost to Inter Milan in a dramatic final match played in the home of Real Madrid, Santiago Barnebeu.
The club was founded in 1900 when a group of eleven people led by Franz John grouped together and started playing football. Even though Bayern Munich won its first Championship in the middle of 1932, the club was not a part of Bundesliga at its inception in 1963. Right in the middle of the year 1970, the club went through its best time. The team was led by Franz Beckenbauer and he helped them win the European Cup three times in a row. In recent years, Bayern Munich is definitely the best German football club as they have been able to win the league and they were able to reach the final of the Champions League, which is the greatest stage for all the European clubs.
Since 2005-2006, Bayern Munich has started playing its home games in the Allianz Arena. For the past 33-years the team played in the Olympic Stadium. The team represents itself in Red and White as the team shows the colours of Bavaria.
Bayern Munich is a club that has provided the second highest number of players during the FIFA World Cup 2010. When the international teams left for South Africa, players were selected from all the clubs to represent their country. The Spanish club Barcelona were the ones who sent out the most number of players with Bayern Munich coming second. Their amazing strike force and defenders were a part of the German squad as well as the Dutch and the French squad. The Germans were a team that could be feared because of their amazing team chemistry and this was mostly because most of them were playing in the same club. On the other hand, Dutch were the team who were able to reach the final match with the help of Munich’s key man, Arjen Robben.
This year, their coach Louis Van Gaal definitely has amazing plans for the club as he has produced a lot of young players during his time in Bayern Munich. He is very famous for introducing young players to the squad but this year he is definitely going to utilize the amazing talent he already has. Players like Thomas Muller, who have impressed during the FIFA World Cup 2010 and the amazing “flying Dutchman” Arjen Robben who has always been the key man for the club, are definitely going to be of good use to the club.
Below is an analysis and prediction for the German club, Bayern Munich’s goal keeper:
Hans-Jorg Butt:
The 36-year old became a part of the German team during the FIFA World Cup 2010 when they were actually out of the title race. He served as a reserve goalkeeper for the German team but was their choice during their third and fourth place match with Uruguay. Even with such an old age, he did not really lose the amazing reflexes and acrobatic skills and this year round he is definitely going to be their first choice. He became a part of Bayern Munich in 2008 when he left the Portuguese club Benfica after only a single appearance with them. He is definitely the first choice for Louis Van Gaal and he is definitely going to be the number 1 for the number one German football club.
