play a crucial part in the title race for a club.

Rummenigge admitted that he is disappointed with the result as there were a lot of expectations from the team. He admitted that the start has again been poor this season and that the team will have to live up to the expectations

The former Bavarian striker stated that the team wanted to make a winning start so that it could be level on points with the likes of Borussia Dortmund and now it is again a game of chasing the champions as there is a three-point
gap.
“There was a lot of anticipation surrounding the start of the season, but we have to say loud and clear: that was a false start. It means that once again we're in a position where we have to chase the leaders after the first matchday.
That was something we wanted to avoid, but unfortunately we haven't managed to do so,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
