Bayern Munich Sporting Director Christian Nerlinger expects the team to be more aggressive
Bayern Munich’s Sporting Director Christian Nerlinger has stated that he expects his team to be more aggressive in the upcoming fixtures after suffering defeat in the first match of the season in front of the Bavarian faithful. He insisted that the players should play with an attacking mentality and that scoring goals is the most important thing.

Nerlinger insisted that the club needs an instant change in mentality and that the players should play with more aggression. He claimed that there is need of a change in mindset as the lack of goals could be crucial in this year’s competition.
“We need to change things fundamentally and become more aggressive. The mindset has to change to allow us to push forward and score goals. We were too static at times and we have to play with more conviction,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
However, the former Bavarian midfielder admitted that there is no concern as it was only the first match. He stated that the manager is working hard with the players and upsets are ought to happen.
The former German international remained hopeful that the team make a good comeback and return with a win this weekend against a competitive Wolfsburg side. He admitted that the club is disappointed on the loss and will make sure the same mistakes are not repeated again.
“It wasn't a performance which has given us cause for concern. The disappointment is there but we're pushing the panic button. On Saturday in Wolfsburg, we must give an answer to our defeat,” the former midfielder concluded.
