The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 international sustained a pre-season injury in August, and a return date still seems to be unknown for the prolific striker.
Bayern Munich head coach, Jupp Heynckes, will not have the prolific goalscorer among their ranks as he is expected to be out with injury for a few more weeks. As a result of this, FC Hollywood are not taking chances with the former
Stuttgart attacker as they want him fully fit when he resumes training.
The forward suffered an ankle injury at the start of August during an offseason game. He was immediately substituted and later it was revealed that he will be out for some time. Bayern were hoping that their top scorer of last
term will be back in first team within six weeks but the lay-off has prolonged now and they are not risking his progress.
Nevertheless, the star striker has now recovered from his injury and has started light training. The club physician, Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt, insisted that the Bundesliga outfit will not speed up the 27-year-old’s comeback,
as extreme care is needed to make sure he does not suffer an injury setback.
The doctor claimed that the player is taking things slow and will recover in a little while to gain full match fitness. The Bavarian giants want their talented attacker to come back stronger without any chance of getting injured
during his comeback.
"We have to be careful. We are taking things one step at a time in his recovery process,” Muller-Wohlfahrt was quoted as saying in an interview.
“We want him to be able to make a risk-free comeback without having to worry about anything," the team doctor finally concluded.
Gomez is likely to start practicing again in around two weeks, and could be ready to play for the first team as early as November. The veteran striker will face an uphill task to regain his starting berth as his replacement Mario
Mandzukic is in great form and currently the leading scorer this season.
Bayern are currently at the top of the table and are yet to lose this season, as they are looking to win the league title.
