Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes admits FC Ingolstadt can be a threat- DFB Pokal news
Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has admitted that they will not under estimate their opponents in the DFB-Pokal clash with FC Ingolstadt on Wednesday. He claimed that the team will prepare for the fixture as if they train for
any league game and will surely play an attacking game.
Die Bayern will face 2.Bundesliga side FC Ingolstadt in the Round 2 of the German Cup on Wednesday at the Allianz Arena. The Munich giants downed Eintracht Braunschweig in the previous round with a 3-0 score line.
Heynckes claimed that his side will play the game as any other important game and that Bayern cannot afford to be complacent. The manager admitted that he will field a strong side for the Cup fixture as he wants to win the match
comprehensively to give the players some confidence after the defeat at Hannover last week.
“You must never underestimate your opponents as you never win a match just by turning up. We won't be making these mistakes. We’ll prepare just as intensively and meticulously as always. We'll leave nothing to chance,” the former
Bayer Leverkusen boss was quoted as saying in an interview.
The tactician revealed that FC Ingolstadt have played some impressive games this season and are a likely threat. He added that the opposition has had some very good starts to games but have managed to lose them in the end because
of a poor second-half performance. However, he is hopeful that his side will put in a very good display and win the game.
“Obviously Ingolstadt have had some poor results, but they always play well for at least a half. They were 3–1 up against Bochum and they led 1–0 against Duisburg, but ended up losing both matches. In the second half of last season,
they played some really good football,” he concluded.
Bayern Munich will be hoping to progress in the DFB-Pokal this season after losing out in the semi-finals to Schalke last term. They have been mighty impressive this season and are leading the Bundesliga standings table. The club
has also performed well in the UEFA Champions League defeating the likes of Manchester City and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Villarreal-CF-c40899.
