Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes hints at two new signings next summer-Bundesliga news
Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has hinted that the club will go for at least two new signings in the next summer transfer window. He claimed that the European Championship to be held in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Poland-c2983 next year could be
the main reason for the club looking to sign more players as there could be injuries to some of the major players.
Die Bayern have a star studded squad which includes a host of players from the German national team like Mario Gomez, Thomas Muller, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bastian-Schweinsteiger-c7374.
The club also has some world class players from other teams which include Franck Ribery and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521.
Heynckes insisted that he has already planned to sign at least two players in the next summer transfer window. He stated that Bayern’s squad comprises of some of the best players in the world from some of the best teams which could
make it hectic for them. He wants to add depth to the squad so that quality is available in case of any injuries.
“I have told the members of the board that there will be Euro 2012 next summer with many of our current players in action. We need to keep an eye on that, planning the new campaign. We do not just add players to the squad; the
team needs strong new players,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Bayer Leverkusen tactician insisted that a club with the stature of Bayern Munich needs to acquire two world-class players every summer to make the team more competitive. He also hailed the players for the great start
to the current campaign and was hopeful that Die Bayern will lift the Bundesliga trophy at the end.
“For me, personally, it is very clear. A team like Bayern needs two top-class signings each season to make a strong team stronger,” the manager concluded.
The Munich giants are leading the German league standings table with 22 points from the 10 games played and are three points ahead of second placed Borussia Dortmund.
