The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 team captain was disappointed by the Bavarian outfit’s poor defending, while Manuel Neuer was also frustrated by his side’s first loss in the league this season
Bayern Munich star defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Philipp-Lahm-c29929 expressed his reservations with the manner in which his team defended in the 2-1 league defeat against Bayer Leverkusen. Lahm was not at all impressed with his colleague’s in Sunday’s showdown.
Bayer Leverkusen striker Stefan Kiessling scored the opener in the first-half to give the visitors the lead whereas Croatian international Mario Mandzukic equalised in the 77th minute. Moreover, there was more to come
and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sidney-Sam-c33476 struck late in the game to earn his side all three points at the Allianz Arena.
Lahm was dismayed by the result. He further added that Leverkusen were worthy winners of the league clash, as they scored more goals than FC Hollywood. The team captain claimed Bayern conceded a dumb goal and still levelled the
game as Mandzukic pulled a goal back, but then let in another silly goal.
"Leverkusen's victory isn't undeserved, because they scored two goals," Lahm was quoted as saying in an interview.

"We let in a ridiculous and stupid opening goal, we fought back and made it 1-1, and then we let in an equally dumb second goal," he mused.
Goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-Neuer-c23424 was frustrated by Der FCB’s first defeat of the league campaign, but maintained that they had the right attitude going into the game. The Germany international feels they should be blamed for not scoring
first. He revealed that they had the opportunity to grab the lead as Leverkusen were not playing well in the first half.

"We should perhaps criticise ourselves for not taking the lead. At the start, Leverkusen came here and tried to play football, but we should have scored the first goal. We gave it everything we had in the second half and tried to salvage something. The defeat
wasn't due to our attitude," he finally concluded.
Die Roten still have a four-point gap with second-placed Schalke in the league rankings and will take on Hamburg in their next clash.
