Bayern Munich are confident of clinching the Bundesliga title this time around after a series of disappointing performances in the last campaign. The manager and the players are hopeful of a great season ahead and are looking forward
to some impressive showings in the League and in Europe.

has been better than last year and the new signings have settled in quickly.
Die Bayern defeated Eintracht Braunschweig 3-0 in the first round of the DFB-Pokal to progress in the competition. The club was unfortunate to lose in the semi-final of the LIGA total! Cup to a young Hamburg side but have recovered
to put in good performances in the last few games.
“We've had a good start, much better than a year ago. We've all been together from the beginning this time. We've enjoyed an excellent pre-season and the new guys have all integrated really well,” Lahm was quoted as saying in an
interview.
Manager Jupp Heynckes has stressed on the importance of the role of defence and claimed that the back four this year is surely stronger than last term with the likes of Jerome Boateng and Rafinha joining in from Manchester City
and Genoa respectively.
“Strikers win matches but defenders win championships. We need to be more stable at the back,” the manager added.
However, Thomas Muller was the most confident of the lot and has stated that his side will definitely win the League this season. He insisted that Bayern have a brilliant squad and can only end up as Champions at the end.
“If you look at our squad there can only be one outcome: We're going to be champions - basta!” the attacking midfielder said.
Die Bayern will be playing their Bundesliga season opener against rivals Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday, August 7, at Allianz Arena.
