Bayern Munich defender Breno Borges to be released on bail – Bundesliga news
The under arrest Bayern Munich central defender, Breno http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arson-c6674. The defender was arrested last week after reports claiming that the Brazilian set his own house on fire as a result of frustration.
Borges, though, declined such claims and claimed innocence. He stated that the fire resulted from a short circuit and engulfed the entire villa soon after. The player also had harsh words for Bayern officials, who failed to handle the situation wisely, resulting
in a few nights in prison for the Brazilian.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Breno-c8038 had previously been asked by the Bavarian medical staff to consult a psychiatrist to treat his continuous frustration. Though Breno agreed with the doctor’s verdict, he is yet to approach a psychiatrist.
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge showed pleasure at the player’s release and hoped to see him back amongst the team ranks.
While addressing local press regarding Breno’s bail, the chairman enthused, "We are very happy to hear that Breno was released from remand earlier today so that he can return to his family and the club. We appreciate that [lawyer] Werner Leitner and the
court treated this case with fairness and tactfulness.”
Further commenting on the player’s release, a statement on the club’s website read:
"Today, the Munich district court upheld the warrant against the accused Breno Borges in the course of a review of the remand but decided to release him on parole at the request of the defending lawyer."
Breno joined Bayern Munich in 2008 and so far has 21 league appearances under his belt. The player spent a few months on loan at FC Nurnberg during this period where he made seven league appearances.
