Bayern Munich defender Rafinha has admitted that UEFA Champions League this season will not be easy as Bayern Munich have been included in the Group of death in the draws in Monaco on Thursday. The Brazilian insisted that it will
be a very tough campaign in Europe as each team is capable to progress to the knock-out stages.
Bayern Munich were drawn in Group A in of the UEFA Champions League this season. The German side was placed with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 and Manchester City and the group is called as the ‘Group of Death’. It is arguably
the toughest group in the competition and all teams are capable of finishing in the top two.
Rafinha admitted that it is a difficult group as there are some great teams apart from Bayern Munich. He insisted that the supporters will witness some great games in the future and added that Bayern cannot afford to be complacent.
“We know it's a difficult group because all the teams have qualities and not only ours but other groups also have their difficulties and who stands to gain from this are the fans which will see great games,” he was quoted as saying
in an interview.
The Brazilian international claimed that it is hard to predict the winners of the group at this stage as all teams have the potential to go through. He added that Bayern utmost goal would be to progress to the knock-out phase after
winning the group.
“It is hard to point out which is the toughest team that we will face because each have their strengths and we know that will not be easy. But every game is a story and I believe that with hard work and commitment,” he concluded.
The Bavarian giants will kick start their Champions League campaign against Villarreal CF at the El Madrigal in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 on September 14. The former European champions will face a tough task next when they face Manchester City at
Allianz Arena on September 27.
