The Munich giants are elated with their performances in the on-going season and are hoping to reclaim the Bundesliga title at the end of the campaign.
Bayern Munich have had a splendid campaign so far and will go into the winter break being at the top of the Bundesliga standings table. The Bavarians have also qualified for the knock-out stages of the UEFA Champions League and
are also amongst the last eight teams in the DFB-Pokal.
After a dismal outing last term, Germany’s most successful club is back to its best and is currently leading the table with 37 points from the 17 games played. They will go into the break as favourites to win the league and also
a strong force in Europe.
Dutch international http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 is delighted with the results but has still warned his side against complacency, claiming that nothing has been achieved as of yet. He insisted that the team will have to play with the same consistency
for the next six months to achieve the best.
“We're only half-way there. The next six months will determine who gets the prizes,” the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 winger was quoted as saying in an interview.
German international http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Toni-Kroos-c35425 still feels that the team needs improvement and is hopeful that the performances would be better when the team returns in January.
“That could easily have gone the other way here. But we're still powering ahead on all fronts and now we can relax and enjoy Christmas,” the midfielder added.
However, skipper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Philipp-Lahm-c29929 added that the competition is very tough at the top and a slight lapse in concentration could cost the side the title. He admitted that the players will have to show the same passion and devotion to
get a similar second-half of the campaign.
“If you don't go into the game with the right attitude, it's always going to be difficult,” the captain concluded.
Bayern Munich will take on Borussia Monchengladbach at the Borussia Park in January and have a chance to avenge the defeat they suffered on the opening day of the campaign at Allianz Arena.
