The Munich giants have been mighty impressive this season and have become one of the favourites to win Europe’s premier club competition. They have already defeated Spanish side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Villarreal-CF-c40899 and cash rich Manchester City earlier
in the competition. Bayern look set to win the group as they are clearly the best side in Group-A with Napoli, Manchester City and Villarreal fighting for the second place.
Rummenigge insisted that he is elated with the club’s amazing run of form this season and credited the players for the success as they have put in great hard work. The Chairman admitted that a win would surely make things a lot
easier for them in terms of qualifying for the knock-out phase of the tournament.
The chief also stressed on the importance of winning the group as that would mean that Bayern would face relatively easier sides in the next round.
“We're enjoying our run of form and are working hard to keep it this way for a long time. If we manage to take maximum points home with us from Naples then we put ourselves in the best position. If we finish top of the group we
should manage to avoid the other big teams,” he was quoted as saying in an interview to Bundesliga.de.
Club manager Jupp Heynckes claimed that it will not be an easy task against the Italians as they have a very attacking style of play. He admitted that his side will have to be careful defensively and avoid losing the ball.
“It's going to be a tough night for our defenders that's for sure. I've studied Napoli and have been very impressed with their style of play and their passion for the game,” he concluded.
Napoli will play hosts to Bayern Munich at the Stadio San Paolo on Tuesday.
