Bayern Munich duo http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Philipp-Lahm-c29929 and Toni Kroos confident of win against Napoli- UCL news
Bayern Munich duo Philipp Lahm and Toni Kroos are confident of securing all three points against Napoli in Wednesday’s Champions League clash at the Allianz Arena. They admitted that a win would surely relieve a lot of pressure
from the side as a knock-out stage place will be secured.
The Bavarian giants are leading the ‘Group of Death’ with seven points with two wins out of the three games played. They are yet to lose in the competition and will surely go through if they secure a win against the Italian side.
Lahm claimed that Napoli will be a tough test for the team but remained confident of another impressive performance. He warned his side against complacency and to be wary of the attacking threat the opposition possesses.
“We will not lose our focus. Napoli have a good team, but we showed our class in Naples and now want to take the three points. Their system involves running very hard and this time we will be more sensitive to it,” the skipper
was quoted as saying in an interview.
Philipp Lahm’s teammate http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Toni-Kroos-c35425 added that the club is in a very good position to qualify for the knock-out stages of the competition and a win would surely take them through. He admitted that they have a brilliant chance of
qualifying in front of the home fans and securing all three points.
However, he admitted that a poor performance could change everything as they have still not finished yet. He stressed on the importance of winning the group as it would be easier for them in the next stage.
“Of course we are in a good position and we want to cement that with a win. If we do win, then we will be very well placed for the last two games and for our aim of winning the group. We have reached nothing yet and we will be
bearing that in mind,” he concluded.
