Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is hopeful that his team will return back to winning ways after the disappointing defeat against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hannover-96-c39492 on Sunday. The player claimed that Bayern were very unlucky in the match at AWD-Arena
as many decisions had gone against them throughout the course of 90 minutes.
Die Bayern suffered their second defeat of the season at Hannover, ending their brilliant consecutive eight match winning streak in the Bundesliga. The former German champions lost 2-1 but still lead the standings table with 22
points from the 10 games played.
Bayern have won seven out of the 10 games and lost only two times in the league in the current campaign and were certainly the favourites to win the title this season. The team played a draw against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 last week and suffered
a shock defeat on Sunday which has given Borussia Dortmund a strong chance to chase the Munich giants.
Neuer admitted that his team was unlucky to lose the match in the end. He claimed that the referee made a wrong decision to give the penalty which changed the match. The former Schalke player insisted that there is great quality
in the side and the players have not been pegged back by the defeat.
“Overall, it was a very unlucky defeat, but we’re very stable. We have a lot of international players in the squad, and we know what we’re capable of,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Neuer is highly confident, however, that Bayern will return to winning ways in Wednesday’s DFB-Pokal clash against FC Ingolstadt 04 at Allianz Arena. He added that a win in the Cup will bring back the confidence in the players
and hoped for a much better performance against FC Nuremberg on Saturday.
“We won’t drive ourselves mad. We still believe in ourselves and we’ll set off on a new run, starting with the DFB Pokal game against Ingolstadt and then on Saturday in the league against Nurnberg,” the German international concluded.
Bayern Munich will be hosting http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FC-Nuremberg-c38162 on the weekend in search of their eighth win of the league this season.
