Bayern Munich hint at offering Christian Nerlinger a new contract- Bundesliga news
Bayern Munich have hinted that they will offer Sporting Director Christian Nerlinger a new contract at the end of the season. Club CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is impressed by the side’s progress under him and wants him to continue
further whereas manager Jupp Heynckes has also offered his support to the Chairman.
Christian Nerlinger’s current contract with the Munich giants ends in the summer next year. There have been reports that the former midfielder would not be given a new deal but nothing is decided as of yet. Nerlinger replaced Uli
Hoeness as the club’s Technical manager in January last year and has been promoted to the Sporting Director post after that.
Rummenigge claimed that Nerlinger has showed great progress and the team has performed very well since he has been in charge. He also hailed that Director’s great relationship with the players and the manager and is hopeful that
the team will continue to perform under him.
“I am enjoying the progress Christian has made. He had to do a Herculean task as successor of Uli Hoeness in that role. He has done great. Also his relationship with the team as well as manager Jupp Heynckes is fantastic,” he was
quoted as saying in an interview.
Manager Jupp Heynckes also wants Nerlinger’s contract to be extended further as he thinks he has been a vital part of his plans. The tactician further added that he does not expect any player to leave in the January transfer window
but if http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danijel-Pranjic-c10154 wishes to leave, the decision is up to him.
“I will not ask anyone from the squad to leave the club this winter. I want everyone to remain here, this is a fact. Just if Danijel were to come up with the wish to move on, then we would look into this with regard to him,” the
former Bayer Leverkusen manager admitted.
