Bayern Munich interested in Manchester City duo Jerome Boateng and Emmanuel Adebayor
According to the reports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904, Bundesliga club, Bayern Munich are interested in signing the Manchester City duo of Jerome Boateng and Emmanuel Adebayor.
German International, Boateng, joined Manchester City from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hamburger-SV-c39485 before the start of the 2010/11 season but the defender has struggled since then. Injuries and competition for places have forced him to sit on the benches for most of the season and
the defender might pounce on the opportunity to join the Bavarians.
Bayern, who are desperately looking to strengthen their defence after a poor 2010/11 season, see Boateng as an ideal player for the future. A newspaper in Germany reported that Bayern have agreed personal terms with the player, but the club sporting director,
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-c9045 Nerlinger, denied such rumours.
He commented: "It's not correct that we've already agreed terms. We're keeping tabs on him, but that's difficult now because of his injury."
City are also reluctant to part company with the versatile defender as they consider him a hot prospect for the future. The club’s technical director rejected all the rumours and insists that the player is going nowhere.
"We have big plans with Jerome. He's an important part of our plans for the future. We'll be playing Champions League qualifiers next term and want to do so with Jerome. He's not for sale," said City's technical director Mike Rigg.
On the other hand, Bayern are also monitoring the situation of Manchester City striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Emmanuel-Adebayor-c12526. The Togolese forward is currently enjoying a loan spell with Spanish side, Real Madrid, and he has stated his desire to stay with Los Blancos.
With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Miroslav-Klose-c26049 set to leave Bayern at the end of the season, the club is keen to negotiate with Manchester City.
Bayern are currently placed third on the Bundesliga table and are struggling to seal a spot for the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League. Nerlinger has made it clear that several of the first-team players will be offloaded in the summer transfer window to bring
in new players to the club.
