Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes blames refereeing decisions for Hannover loss- Bundesliga news
Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heyckes has expressed his disappointment on the Bundesliga loss against Hannover at the weekend. He claimed that his side surely deserved a point at least and could have achieved it if the decisions had
gone their way. The manager insisted that this side missed many opportunities to score throughout the match and were not at their best on the night.
The Munich giants suffered only their second defeat of the season when they lost to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Alaba-c10416
scored for Bayern in the fixture.
Bayern are still leading the Bundesliga table with 22 points from the ten games played so far this season. They have won seven and lost two in the process.
Heynckes claimed that his side deserved a draw in the end. He admitted that some of the referee’s decisions did not go their way in the end but was impressed by the team’s overall performance in the match. He hailed his team’s
character and praised the determination they put in after going two goals down.
"We deserved at least a point. We've lost, but I'm happier today than I was after some of our big wins – although we didn't start particularly well. We'll come back stronger than before, we won't fold as a result," he was quoted
as saying in an interview.
The former Bayer Leverkusen manager criticized some of the decisions in the match by the officials. He insisted that the penalty went against them and it was a wrong decision whereas he also had his doubts over Jerome Boateng’s
sending off. However, he remained confident that the team will make a strong comeback next week.
"Both sides really got stuck in. We didn’t get the rub of the green, first with the penalty, then the sending off. But all credit to my team, because we showed great morale. Despite the intimidating atmosphere, we concentrated
hard and kept our cool,” he concluded.
