Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes hails talented youngsters- Bundesliga news
Bayern Munich manager has hailed the club’s youngsters for their brilliant performances last season and stated that it will be a bigger challenge for them to perform in the next campaign as the club look to make a strong comeback
after a dismal outing last term.
Bayern Munich finished third on the Bundesliga standings table and failed to secure any silverware. Heynckes agreed to join the Munich giants in a pre-season agreement and left Bayer Leverkusen this summer to manage Bayern for
the third time in his career.
The manager claimed that the club has shifted its focus on promoting young talent over the past few years and will continue to do so. He added that some of the players in the current squad were not even born when he joined the
club for the first time in 1987.
The former Borussia Monchengladbach striker remained confident of a determined and inspiring performance from the players in the upcoming season. The club has given a chance to young players in the past few years and the decisions
have been spot on in the cases of Thomas Muller, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luiz-Gustavo-c22844.
"When I came to Bayern in 1987, some of the players were not yet born. This is a huge challenge and a great piece of work I'm very confident it inspires me to work with such top players. The performance counts, not the age,” he
was quoted as saying in an interview.
Meanwhile, club http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sporting-89-c40576 Director Christian Nerlinger revealed that the club still has some work left in this summer’s transfer market. He claimed that the Munich giants may be adding one or two more players to the squad before
the window closes on August 31.
Bayern have already acquired Nils Petersen, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arturo-Vidal-c6760.
“We're not quite at the end. We still have many plans. I enjoy playing with power, with two,” Nerlinger added.
Bayern Munich will kick start their campaign against long-term rivals Borussia Monchengladbach at the Allianz Arena on Sunday, August 7.
