Bayern Munich right winger, Robben, has explained that he does not want to seek a move away from the German champions in the near future because he is satisfied at the club. The attacker has been expected to leave the UEFA Champions
League winners due to the appointment of head coach Pep Guardiola.
"It is football, nothing is a certainty. This is a profession where anything can happen," Robben added.
The creative midfielder is thought to be surplus to requirements for the incoming trainer. However, he wants to extend his stay in Munich but said anything can still happen. On the other hand, he does not want to speculate any
further as he feels really good at the Allianz Arena.
"I want to avoid any speculation, though. I am feeling very well here and I have a contract until 2015. Leaving Bayern is not an option for me at this point,” he said.
In addition, the playmaker has a deal with Der FCB that runs until 2015 and also there is no reason to depart the German side just yet. Moreover, he spoke about his relationship with team member Franck Ribery and insisted that
they both have resolved their previous issues.
"There is absolutely no reason to leave, so I intend to stay put," he mused.
He stated that it was hard to get back to normal because after Ribery slapped him, things got really bad. Nevertheless, the pair are friends again.
"It was quite difficult after what happened last year. I initially thought that we could no longer player together after he slapped me. I accepted his apologies, though, and forgave him,” the star finally concluded.
Robben suggested that Ribery is a delight to play with and has great knowledge about the sport. Due to the performances of the duo, Die Roten have won the historic treble this season. Also Robben was on target in the final of the
UEFA Champions League against Borussia Dortmund.
