Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery has expressed his delight after it was revealed that Philipp Lahm would be playing as a left-back in the upcoming campaign. He is aiming to build a great partnership with the club http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Captain-c8314
and hopes to improve on his fitness.
Philipp Lahm played as right-back last season but after the arrival of Rafinha from Genoa this summer, he would be playing on the left side behind Ribery. The duo had played together on the left flank for two seasons from 2007-2009
but the captain had to shift on the opposite flank for the last season.
Ribery admitted that things would definitely be a lot easier with Lahm playing behind him as he has the quality of making some brilliant runs and was confident that the decision would result in some great performances.
“I am delighted that Philipp is going to play behind me again on the left side. Playing with him is simple,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The French international also hailed the signing of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-Neuer-c23424 from Schalke 04 and rated him as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He insisted that a player like Neuer definitely gives a lot of confidence to the defenders
and is a huge strength for the team.
“We have a super goalkeeper in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-c23383 as he makes 30 per cent of a team's strength,” he continued.
The former Olympique Marseille midfielder was also happy with the recent developments at the club and admitted that the conditions are far better now than they were under former manager Louis van Gaal. He also added that the players
have little pressure on them which would surely help them improve on their performances next season.
“The conditions at the club are better than last year, it was incredibly difficult, not fun, just stress - that is not good for a player,” he concluded.
Franck Ribery has so far made a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Total-c40747 of 144 appearances for Bayern Munich and scored 52 goals in the process.
