Bayern Munich midfielder Thomas Muller has expressed his delight on winning against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League. He stated that the team came back strongly in the second-half and were dominant and truly deserved

Thomas Muller claimed that the visitors started the match very well and had most of the possession in the first half-hour. He insisted that his side came back brilliantly and dominated the proceedings after that, scoring two goals
in the process.
The German international also praised his defence for putting up a stellar performance and stopping the Manchester City attackers from creating any chances after that.
“We had some problems in the first 25 minutes; we weren't pressing well and found ourselves on the back foot. Manchester City obviously have a very good short-passing game. After that though, our central defence started working
higher up the pitch and we began to be more assertive man-on-man,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.

However, he admitted that Bayern Munich were far the better side after the interval and pushed the opposition on the back foot to take all three points from the match in the end.
“The two goals did us a power of good obviously, although Bastian Schweinsteiger had another great chance just beforehand. Then in the second half, it was a sure thing for us,” he concluded.
Thomas Muller has so far made 116 appearances for Bayern Munich and has scored 42 goals in the process. The player also has 21 international caps to his name and has found the net on seven occasions.
