Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos has stated that he is satisfied with the draw against Napoli in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. He stated that the opposition put in a lot of effort to create opportunities but the Bayern
defence was too strong for them. The midfielder insisted that a win could have been achieved but admitted it is still a good point for them.
The Bavarians drew the Group-A Champions League clash against Napoli on Tuesday at the Stadio San Paolo. Toni Kroos scored for the visitors in the first-half whereas an own-goal from Holger Badstuber cancelled it. Mario Gomez missed
a penalty to put the visiting side in the lead as both sides shared the spoils in the end.
Kroos stated that his team was far superior to the Italians throughout the course of 90 minutes and admitted that a win was possible. He added that Bayern missed a lot of scoring opportunities and found the net only once despite
dominating possession in both periods. He also hailed the defence for the brilliant performance and keeping Napoli to minimal chances.
“If you consider the overall run of the match, we should have won it. They put in an enormous effort in the first half and really covered a lot of miles. We took good advantage of the situation and knocked the ball around well.

The former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder is delighted with the club’s displays this season and insisted that Bayern are in a very good place in the group and have a great chance of qualifying for the knock-out stages of the competition.
He added that it was a difficult match at Stadio San Paolo and the team should be happy with a point.
“Absolutely not. We put in another very good performance. We've taken seven points from our opening three Champions League games, two of them on the road. We can be quite happy with that, this game in Naples included,” he concluded.
