Bayern Munich reignite interest in Mario Gotze, Borussia Dortmund unwilling to take the offer
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have reignited interest in Borussia Dortmund midfielder, Mario Gotze. The Bavarians want to acquire the teenager’s services and are reportedly preparing an official bid for the player.
Borussia Dortmund CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke, has come out again to reveal that the club do not plan on selling Gotze during this season. He further cleared that the midfielder will never be sold to any of the German clubs, and Bayern are just wasting their
time.
The news came hours after Bayern Munich completed a 2-0 victory over FC Zurich in the first leg of their Champions League play-off tie. The match was played on Wednesday, August 17, at Allianz Arena. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bastian-Schweinsteiger-c7374 inspired their
side to an important win, leaving Zurich with all to play for in the second leg, which will be played on Tuesday, August 23.
Bayern manager Jupp Heynckes was all praise for his side who were outstanding on the night. He mentioned that his team exhibited their ‘A’ game and hailed Robben and Schweinsteiger for getting their acts together when it mattered the most.
Meanwhile, Heynckes wished to welcome Dortmund’s teenage sensation Mario Gotze to his club during the summer. He reserved praise for the 19-year-old saying that the German international is on his way to become the number one footballer in Europe.
While talking to a local website, the Borussians CEO stated, "In all seriousness, Mario is not thinking about joining another team in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904. Bayern can save themselves an offer; we would be totally stupid to let him go there. Mario has won the German title
with us, he has been with us for eight years and his family lives in the city. So there are only three or four clubs in the he could possibly move to. And they are not located in Germany."
Gotze’s current contract with the club expires in 2014 and the player is certain to stay at Signal Iduna Park this season. The midfielder so far has featured in both the league games for his club and will next be in action against FC Nurnberg on Saturday,
August 20.
