The Allianz Arena side is still keen to sign the Montpellier striker after a series of successful performances this season.
Bayern Munich manager, Jupp Heynckes, has confirmed that his side are still monitoring Montpellier forward, Olivier Giroud. He was talking in the wake of claims that Bayern have shrugged off their interest from the striker after
the player was being strongly linked with a move to the Bundesliga this summer.

However, the attacker has been shouldering the striking responsibilities alone at the club with Nils Petersen and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Takashi-Usami-c34524 given limited opportunities. The club bosses have revealed that the Reds are in search of a new striker
who could play alongside Gomez and assist him in scoring goals.
The manager mentioned that Giroud is an outstanding talent and appreciated his consistency in the Ligue 1. He denied reports saying that Bayern’s interest has died in the player. Heynckes clarified that if the Reds are to recruit

"He's still being looked at," Heynckes added.
On the other hand, Giroud’s adviser, Thorleif Schonfeld enthused that no official approach has been made by any club for his client. He confirmed that the 25-year-old is available after this season and that Allianz Arena would
be a great destination. "I can currently only tell you that it's all in limbo. But Bayern are a very good destination," he concluded.
Giroud has so far netted 19 league goals this season for his club from 29 appearances to go along with his eight assists. His recent form has also enabled the MHSC to sit atop the league standings, three points clear of second-placed
Paris Saint-Germain.
